Everything You Need to Know for Your East African Adventure

Safari Experience

Your tour covers comfortable game-drive vehicles (Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs), unlimited mileage, park entry fees, camping charges where applicable, daily bottled water, and full-board accommodation as arranged. Our experienced driver-guides are included, ensuring you get the most out of your wildlife viewing experience.
You'll need to budget separately for visas, personal items like souvenirs or extra excursions not agreed in advance, and tips (around $10 USD per guest per day is the standard guideline). Please note: if park authorities increase fees after you book, these adjustments may reflect in your final balance.
Absolutely! We design itineraries around your interests, travel dates, and budget. Whether you want to focus on the Big Five, bird watching, cultural experiences, or combine safari with beach holidays, we'll create a personalized adventure just for you.
Yes! Our safari vehicles have charging points so you can keep your camera, phone, and other devices powered while you're on the go. We recommend bringing a power bank as backup for longer game drives.
All our vehicles are well-maintained, but in the rare case of a breakdown, your driver-guide is trained to handle basic repairs. If needed, we'll send backup assistance promptly to make sure your safari continues smoothly. We have a 24/7 support system in place.

Travel Preparation

We recommend arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi (NBO). It's the main international gateway to Kenya and provides the best connections for onward travel to safari destinations and coastal areas.
Please visit a travel health clinic before your trip. You may be advised to get vaccinated for yellow fever and to take malaria prophylaxis. If you're visiting Zanzibar or transiting through a yellow fever zone, proof of vaccination might be needed. We also recommend routine vaccinations are up to date.
Bring your passport, vaccination proof, personal medication (including basics like painkillers), sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, moisturizer, insect repellent, and comfortable clothes in neutral shades. Include warm layers for chilly mornings, swimwear if your lodge has a pool, and good walking shoes. A camera with wide and telephoto lenses, plus binoculars (we provide one pair per vehicle, but bringing your own is welcome) will enhance your safari experience.

Dining & Payments

Absolutely! When you book, we'll ask you to fill out a form listing any dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences. We share this information with all lodges and camps to ensure your meals are safe and satisfying. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have other requirements, we've got you covered.
We accept payments via wire transfer, Wise, and credit card. Credit card payments are securely processed through Pesapal (note that a small service fee applies). We typically require a deposit to confirm your booking, with the balance due before your trip begins.
